Lake Worth is a city in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It was named after General William J. Worth, a veteran of the Second Seminole War and the United States Army's commanding officer at Fort Dallas during its construction; the fort was renamed in his honor in 1849. The population was 34,558 at the 2020 census.
